Renew your identity as a Christian in our Winter Series "This is the Church; This is Who We Are."
New Creation Community Church (NC3), is a small, but
growing, non-denominational church, located in Sylvania, OH.
We are founded on four pillars:
- Discipleship and Outreach - Growing as Disciples and Making New Disciples
- Service - Sharing the Love of Jesus with Our Local Community and
Around the World
Our Worship services are held on Sunday, at 10 am, at the Sylvania Senior Center, 7140 Sylvania Ave, in Sylvania, OH, next to the Tam-O-Shanter complex. Directions
At NC3, we believe that everyone has been gifted with God-given talents and abilities which are fully realized only when used in service to Him. By knowing His Word soundly and intimately, we can achieve our true purpose in life by committing ourselves to something bigger; a Life lived for God. Our Messages are primarily "expository," being Biblically-sound, and pertinent to living the life to which God has called us. We delve into the meaning of Scripture, explaining it within the context of the Bible, and include some practical applications on how it impacts our daily lives. Statement of Faith
Our Worship incorporates a consistent blend of traditional and contemporary music. In our services, we normally include two popular, traditional hymns (led from a keyboard), an enduring, well-known contemporary song from the 80's and 90's, as well as a couple, popular contemporary (within the last 5 years) worship songs. We endeavor to include vertical-oriented Worship songs that are focused on worshiping God, rather than simply singing about Him.The Lord's Supper (Communion) is celebrated each Sunday. Dress is casual.
Sunday School for Children is offered on Sunday morning, starting at 9:45 am, during the school year. More info.
Fellowship with coffee and baked goods follows our service every Sunday, allowing you to get to know others in the congregation easily. Ours is an informal and welcoming atmosphere.
In our current Sermon series, Who Is Jesus, we are taking an in-depth look into the identity of Jesus as told in the Gospel of John.
Bible Study is offered every Thursday at 10 am. We meet at Kingston Residence
in Sylvania, 4121 King Rd, in the Community Room. Currently, we are studying
the Book of First Corinthians.
We maintain an active Facebook page, where we update it, daily, with follow-up points from the previous Sunday's Message, as well as presenting points to ponder regarding the upcoming Sunday message. In addition, inspirational quotes and reflections, as well as announcements of activities and events, are regularly posted. Follow us on Facebook at New Creation Community Church.
What have we been doing, recently, at NC3?
Every year, on one Sunday in December before Christmas, we take up a special collection called Make a Joyful Noise. It is designated to benefit a local or international non-profit organization. Bringing our loose change (and cash) from around our homes, we noisily drop it into a metal container during our Worship Service. In the past, our collection has benefitted Sylvania Area Family Services and Living Water International (providing clean water wells to uimpoverished areas around the world). This, our third annual collection, was able to provide 90 holiday meals to the homeless at the Cherry Street Mission Ministries in downtown Toledo.
Voices of Zambia - A Worship Concert by students from Ambassador International University and Bible College in Zambia was held on Wednesday, Oct. 18. Our 2016 Advent Project was a Reverse Advent Calendar Box. We asked each of our members to place one non-perishable food item in a box every day during Advent. The boxes were collected at our Christmas Eve service, and were distributed in January to survivors of a fatal apartment complex fire in South Toledo.
Beginning in June, we have designated the last Sunday of each month Make a Difference (MAD) Sunday. We alter our regular service to include a coffee-house type discission on a topic concerning Service, and conclude with an in-house, all ages appropriate service project. Currently, our topics are taken from the book, "When Helping Hurts."
Our project in June involved making Blessing Bags. These are gallon-size, zip-lock bags in which we placed essntial toiletry and other small items that we carry in our automobiles to be given to a person in need who we may run across while driving in town. In July, we completed salvation bracelets, outlining God's plan of salvation. The women made jewelry-type bracelets to be worn as a conversation starter, while the men made rawhide beaded bracelets, whiich were distributed to a neighboring church during a joint worship in August. Additional bracelets will be used to assist our members in witnessing to the saving plan of Jesus.
